Emergency First Aid
CPR/AED Level A or C (1-day)
In this one-day course, students will learn to recognize and provide interventions for life-threatening emergencies until medical help arrives. Topics include: 1 and 2-rescuer CPR and choking, shock and unconsciousness, sever bleeding, wound care, and major medical conditions, and also includes child and infant resuscitation. Also includes AED certification.
Standard First Aid
CPR + AED, Level A or C (2-days) or Re-certification or Blended online + Skills Day (1-day)
This two-day St. John Ambulance course covers all the skills in Emergency First Aid plus first aid for other injuries and illnesses including head and spinal injuries, fractures of the upper and lower limbs. This course includes Level A (adult) or C (includes child and infant, plus adult) CPR certification, 2-rescuer resuscitation, and AED training and certification. The Recertification or Blended session is a one-day, skills only, demonstration + test.
Fall Protection
1 DAY
This one-day course provides instruction and practical exercises for end-users to learn about fall protection systems, including anchors, harnesses, connectors, and rescue plans. This course is accredited through CSSTA (Canadian Safety Standards Training Association).
Confined Space Entry / Monitor
1 DAY
This course covers the identification and classification of confined spaces, recognition of hazards, and methods of control. This course is accredited through CSSTA (Canadian Safety Standards Training Association).
Ground Disturbance for Supervisors Level II
1 DAY
This course provides an understanding of ground disturbance legislation and procedures for those in supervisory roles. The course meets the training requirements of ABCGA 101 and 201 Ground Disturbance hazard awareness and Supervisory standards. This course is certified through the Global Training Centre.
H2S Alive
1 DAY
Course participants will learn H2S properties, hazard assessment and control, respiratory protective equipment, detection of H2S, and initial response strategies. Participants will practice gas detection, as well as inspecting, donning, and testing an SCBA unit. This course is accredited through Energy Safety Canada.
